Prototype Launched!




This is the first public look at Chrono Junk, a fast-paced 2D cyberpunk roguelike (might have to use your imagination) where you extract tech fragments while dodging deadly enemies. The prototype includes:

Procedural mission flow - as you progress both in level as well as time within the level, the difficulty scales up.

Upgrade system - An integrated lottery system for upgrades is in place to help balance what you have available to you and the amount of credits you can earn.

Extraction mechanic - Once you reach your fragment quota, your extraction point will spawn. Reaching this without dying allows you to complete the mission. Do you risk sticking around longer for more loot, or do you extract as soon as you can?

Early enemy types - most have a default chase mechanics, so its fairly easy to avoid, just watch out for the orange balls, they are fast and explode!

Placeholder art and UI - Concept art in place to give the game a bit more life!
Right now, many visuals are temporary and created using AI tools to help convey tone. The final version will feature original, handcrafted artwork by professional artists.
